Alright chaps, I'm finally getting around to playing Skyrim as I have the cash to do it up proper with settings maxed and HD textures etc. What VRAM would I need @ 1080p? I also want to max Crysis 2 and some other games at this rez.

Basically is 3GB enough for 1080p in any game? Also the rest of my rig is a 2500K, 8GB RAM, old Corsair VX 550W PSU.
 
2gb is enough at 1080p with just HD textures as long as it's a fast 2gb card like a 7870xt or gtx670. If you're adding more mods though I'd play it safe and get at least 3gb which leaves you the price/performance king, the 7950.
