Onboard computer problems

I have a Astra 2008 plate and every since i got an aftermarket headunit put in my the screen that shows information has gone weird, it shows how many miles i have left, but avg speed ect and avg miles all the thigns it shows have all gone wrong and stopped and i was just wondering how do i fix it

Isn't that functionality provided by the standard head unit?

In which case to fix it put the old radio back in.

As above, when I replaced the mother in law's head unit in her car, I had to get a whole host of adapter cables and two different Connects2 boxes to replicate functions provided by the standard unit.
