Bit weird, should support that resolution since it does: 3840 x 2160 @ 60hz.
You're only using one monitor? Maybe change the DP cable?

tried two different cables, Ive uninstalled intel drivers twice now and I get the desired resolution only to find windows update reinstalling it and the res drops NOT got a clue what to do

People complain about AMD and Nvidia drivers.
Intels driver support for IGP's is shocking.
