onboard gfx good enough for a HTPC ?

I am lloking at building a budget HTPC to play blu-rays, TV and music. For HD playback is onboard gfx enough or should i consider getting a dedicated gfx card ?
 
i5 on sandy then yes, im playing gothic3 and counterstrike on my onboard gpu atm. Just have to turn the grahics down a coupla notches ;)
