Building my dad a new rig tomorrow but we couldnt fit a gfx card into the budget so for now we chose a mobo with GF6100 gfx built in as a temporary stop gap and he plans to buy a PCI-E card in the future.

The cpu is a A64 3200+.

His old rig had a 64Mb ti4200

Will he still be able to play COD1 and 2. Hes only got a 17inch CRT ao is pretty much limited to 1024x768 or 800x600

And i dont suppose it will manage the likes of Farcry or doom3?
 
Well from experience, I had something like Intel Express Chipset 910 or something (rubbish basically) and I was able to play COD1 and COD United Offensive on it :)

Graphics were whack though, as I had expected.

FarCry and Doom 3 = No I think.

I had a board with them graphics. With 256MB dedicated it played BF2 fine on the LOWEST settings. It was a tad laggy in places.

I would say COD1 would be ok, COD2 may be pushing it a little....

Doom3 will be ok on low(ish)

so should Far Cry.

As long as he isnt a graphics freak he should be fine and dandy. :)
