HI guys, m,y build is nearly finished, ordering my I5 4690k devils canyon on Monday along with a corsair h55 AIO cooler, was going to go for a decent gfx card to do me until next payday when i would buy a GTX 970.

Anyhow car repairs have meant no gFx card or at least a very small amount for one, my question is would the on board graphics on my build be enough to run Company of heroes/ counter strike source, untill next month without any problems??

AND CORSAIR RM 850 PSU

CURRENT PC

Pentium dual core 2.3
2 gig ram
geforce 8400gs gfx
250g sata hdd

plays single player coh fine, but struggles to keep up on multiplayer

I watched Company of Heroes ran on HD 4000 GPU on youtube, it ran fine and 1 post said the game ran great on maxed settings on old HD 2000 GPU. Same with Counter Strike Source ran great on HD 4000 GPU on maxed settings.

So you will be fine with these 2 games on HD 4600 until you ordered GTX 970. :)

Unless you're playing on very low resolution you're going to be a bit out of luck with CS :(

EDIT: Never mind, if it's CS Source you should be fine, thought it was CS GO

CS:S runs fine, i set the onboard to max mem allocation in Bios, and it ran the source stress test and averaged 168fps, i tried a guick 25man DM server and was getting 120-140fps @ 1080p and high settings.

I guess that will do ya untill ya get your 970.
