I have ASRock FM2A55M-DGS Rev 2 with AMD A10-6800k installed and running fine with Win Vista 64 ... I can't seem to get the on-board graphics set-up.

I installed AMD Catalyst .. 13-4_vista_win7_win8_32-64_sb.exe

In Device Manager I see an exclamation mark beside Standard VGA Graphics Adapter, and the error in properties.. This device cannot start. (Code 10)

In the BIOS the graphics are set to PCI (I tried setting to Onboad but made no difference).

If anyone could shed some light on this I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

Maybe it's because x64 needs signed drivers and the driver for that is unsigned. Is there another exclamation mark next to ATITool?

Make sure you have the latset amd beta drivers but before that have you updated the bios to the latest version and updated all the motherboard drivers? In the bios the graphics should be set the the igpu setting not the pci one.

Thanks for the replies but I think I got a "Lemon" here.. Now I cant use the CD-ROM any more ... Going to contact OC to get this heap of junk sent back, I already sent the Hard Drive back for a replacement and now I dont have any confidence in OC. The first PC I got last year had issues after about a week with the PSU dying.

In what way does the CDROM not work? SATA or PATA?
Did you do what the guys above said with the 13.9s?

When I put the Windows or the MB Driver CD in the drive it will not boot from it .. In Device Manager it says Failed to start (Code 10) but its seen in the BIOS.. I am assuming it is, the ASRock BIOS shows the drive but it has a "X" to the right of the description.

P.S. Its SATA

I'm in the same boat, the problem is...there is no vista driver for the a10's GPU. I ended up using Win7, installed the latest Catalyst and it work...briefly, now I'm plagued with BSOD's...I'm going to try various things over the weekend and if I can't get it to work, it's going back for a refund.
