Onboard graphics died?

I've an Asus M3N78-VM motherboard in my media PC, which I powered up this morning to find out that there was no display on the TV. :(

However, it will boot into safe mode, it'll show the BIOS screen and the initial Windows loading screen, but nothing in higher resolution. Tried via HDMI and DVI connection, connecting it to the TV and to my monitor.

Is this the 'advanced' part of the onboard graphics that's packed up and died? Any ideas on if its fixable or is it new motherboard time?

I would, but there's no space.

My case is 53mm high, and I really like the case and its' built in almost totally silent PSU so I want to keep it.

Looking around at the moment I can possibly stick a Micro ATX FM2 board and an A4-5300 APU on it, and keep my existing low profile CPU cooler - all for a cost of £64.
