Onboard graphics not working - help please

I put my new rig together. But motherboard red VGA light remains on and I get no signal.

7800X3D
Gigabyte B650 gaming X AX
Using a DP cable

Any ideas?

How long do you leave it to boot?

Double checked all the power connectors?

You could try using the onboard instead (from the IGP), if you haven't already, I believe it has a DP port.

Left it ages. Yep.

I've put my discreet GPU in now and all good. But still confused why it didn't work...

I had this too, had to reset the bios.

A full reset? Not just the button.

I seem to recall Gigabyte having this issue before, where they shipped boards that either didn't work from the IGP, or with a DGPU and needing a BIOS update. I didn't think it was B650 though, but before that.

I'll update the bios but now the 4090 has arrived it doesn't matter too much. It would have been very annoying otherwise though.
