Onboard Sound

Okey i have onboard sound on my Motherboard can i still get a sperate sound card and disable my onboard sound. Or will i be stuck with Onboard Sound.

Onboard sound will automatically disable itself if you install any PCI soundcard.

Is that true? I've always disabled mine in the BIOS when I've done this, just to make sure.

Mine has never disabled itself, best to disable it manually to avoid conflicts. I doubt all MOBOs disable it automatically.
