Hello,

Client has a pub, they have a BT business hub with ADSL. The want to offer Wireless network to the customers in the pub but don't want there wireless to be used. can you set up 2 ssids with a specific router? What's the best way of having a private ans a public wireless connection form a shared broadband connection?

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks.

The best way is to employ a company that specialises in providing wireless hotspots.

Giving the public unfettered access in the way you describe is just asking for trouble.

dont use a shared broadband connection, it'll either suck all the bandwidth up for punters downstairs or it will use all the bandwidth available for the month making the landlord etc have to put up with a slow connection for the rest of the month or whatever.

setting up another router around the bar with a seperate bt phone socket and using a decent unlimited provider should work. as for limiting the content to users etc no idea.
