one afternoon in riga

ok.... going on a stag weekend in the fine capital of latvia

got one afternoon that isnt full of gun-shooting, quad biking and wenching, so thought i might soak up some local colour

what are the highlights bearing in mind my limited timeframe

Head to Old Town I would guess. Or walk along the river.

Get yourselves up the TV-Tower. Great views over the river and city, plus it's also a very strange tripod structure.

It's tiny! The old bit is worth a stumble, and won't take long if you don't hang around anywhere too long. Skyline bar at the Reval hotel is awesome!

The centre of Riga is really small, so just have a wonder round.

+1 Hotel Reval is awesome its where we stayed..went during the winter time and it was snowing so much! have to say when I landed the scenery reminded me of Stalker or Operation flashpoint

Food is good within the hotel..tbh the hotel was the main place we stayed at as it had casino..(free booze if you go there) and the skyline bar..not to mention the women are nice!
