One core@ 100%?

hello over the last few days ive noticed once my pc has been on for a few hours one of the cores goes upto 100% load, if i restart the pc it goes away.. if i look in the processes tab the only things that are using a conciderable ammount of cpu usage is system idle process ( 75) and firefox(25), Does anyone know how to stop one of my cores running at 100% load?

hmm, if i restard firefox it goes back to normal... i am using the beta i suppose

25% of a quad core is 100% of a single core. It is obviously a problem with Firefox, perhaps a bug in the beta version as you say. It could also be due to buggy HTML on a particular webpage - when you next encounter the problem, close each tab one by one and check if the problem goes away after each tab is closed.
