How have people got one drive set up?
It's for my parents, at, I've redirect documents/videos/pictures etc. To omen drive. So if there computer dies. They still have all the files. However if they delete something by mistake it doesn't protect them.

So is there a better way to use one drive. Just setting up there new computer so clean slate. How would you do it. It needs to be used with zero input by them.

As even how it's set up at,, they get confused somehow. I don't understand how as it's invisible. they save it to my documents etc. But it's actually saved to one drive as well and all set to work offline so saved on hard drive as well.

possible direction to consider... not tried it with online storage but it should work.

I use both gladinet (there's a free version with limitations) and bvckup 2 although not together.

Use gladinet to map onedrive to a drive letter - it treats onedrive as a network drive so you don't need to duplicate stuff unless you want to :)

Use a backup program of choice (mines bvckup 2) to sync folder locations in real time. Bvckup doesn't delete the files straight away, they're put in an archive folder.

If you delete files you can should still be able access them on onedrive for 30 days iirc.

They wouldn't even know bvckup is running as it can be run as a system program and 'hidden' to the user.
