I was thinking about this sentence today after I said it. About whether it was correct or not. The sentence was, "I'm going to do it now".

"Going to" is future tense whereas "now" is obviously present tense. One can say, "I'm going to do it" or "I'm doing it now". But isn't it mixing tenses to say, "I'm going to do it now?"

Trolling apostrophe in thread title, by the way.

I'm pretty sure they teach this at primary school age. Your entire post is grammatically awful but I'm sure that you're being 'ironic' rather than ignorant.

In fairness, how often do you hear someone say, "I'm going to do it now"...?

It's not a natural thing to say... Normally you'd say, "I'll do it now."
