I have an appointment with a solicitor next week so I will be asking them this question.

Basically, can I conversation I have recorded be used in a dispute even though the other person was not aware the conversation was being recorded at the time?

To be clear this is not a work-related issue, it is a family matter.

I believe my version of a conversation will be disputed, therefore I recorded it knowing that may be a likely outcome.
