One game you can't remove

Race driver Grid and open transport tycoon deluxe are the two main ones I will always have installed.
I do have 40 odd games in steam on a separate hard drive but I haven't had them all that long

Ah yes, the venerable OTTD. Love it to bits, got pikas UK Railway Set 2, Industrial Stations Renewal and eGRVTS, all on my pendrive so I can play it wherever :D

^TB, 4GB drives are so 1998

My mistake.

I had as small as an 8g drive on my PC back in 1999. I remember getting Baldur's Gate 2 and being faced with the prospect of 1 game taking up 1/4 of ALL my available HD space.

It was well worth it though, what a magnificent game.

Back in those days I used to have to un-install games all the time. I went from that 8g to 80g in a new PC and it seemed like it'd never run out at first.

Then along came WoW and I was back to one game practically taking up 1/4 of my HD space.

Thankfully I doubt we'll ever see that happening again with 1Tb being so commonplace.

Naturally the game that the question applies to must be old. None of the games below is less than 10 years old.

- Everett Kaser Puzzles

I know that only one game is asked for by the OP, but I must also mention:

- Infocom Classics Collection
- ATC 2 (Air Traffic Control), not all that old but the follow up from the old ATC 1, so I think it qualifies.
- Descent

There are a few others, but they don't run on 64-bit machines any more:

- Stars!
- Empire

If we go beyond PC games, there are quite a few Amiga games, mainly:

- Captive (by Tony Crowther) - My number 1 game ever
- Carrier Command

and I still enjoy a game of M.U.L.E. and Archon (1 and 2) on C-64 emulator.
