One laptop makes router reset

Weird one this. I've recently moved to Plusnet from Sky and everything is fine until my daughter's laptop is turned on (a Dell Inspiron) and then the router starts rebooting every 2 minutes or so. Turn it off again and the router is fine, even with all the other devices in the house connected (1 wired connection, 2 wireless laptop, 1 wireless phone, xbox).

Any ideas? Plusnet are telling me 'it can't happen' so they're no use

the laptop doesnt have a static IP address set does it? that could be the issue?

Not sure -will check when I get home @ lunchtime. Someone else at work has said uPnP might be the issue. I suppose the only other thing is to compare all the network/adapter settings across all my devices and see if there is anything else that jumps out at me

I'd try updating router firmware and the wireless driver on the Inspiron first
