We have a BT router as part of their fibre service.

All is fine. We have a load of PC's connected wired, two wirelessly.

The problem is I have a little Acer netbook here that will not work wirelessly. It connects but no internet.

- It will connect to the BT router but no internet using chrome or IE.
- I have a 3G wireless hub and the netbook connects to this fine and I get internet (so defo some kind of weird issue with the laptop and the router).

Literally nothing will work when connected to BT, tracerts, etc. There is no DNS set up, just auto.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Not got it in front of me but it was just a standard - 192.168.0.72 to be exact if I recall....

I thought BT hubs gave out a 192.168.1.x address. Is there definitely not a manually assigned address in the TCP/IP settings of the wireless card?

Do you have any software AV/Firewalls running? McAfee, Kaspersky, AVG, etc. If so try disabling them.
