Hey,
Am going for few days to Prague and plan to travel light.
Haven't decided on what lens to take...
Am thinking 17-35 , 14-24, or 24-70
By the time of travel, will acquire small tripod(mefoto or redged)
What would you take?
Thanks for any advice

If you only taking one of those the 24-70 will give you the moster versatility it should be wide enough for Prague as it isn't a particularly tall or enclosed city and there are plenty of nice vantage points to get shots of the bridges etc. I went years ago with a compact that went no wider than 35mm and found it acceptable, the other two lenses while gret for the wide stuff will make it difficult for you to pick out any details that catch you eye and also aren't a great length should you want to take any people shots.

I'm not sure about the above advice of just using three points in the zoom range seems a bit pointless to e just pick the point required to frame your shot instead of imposing artificial limitations on yourself. Each to their own obviously but thats my opinion.

What camera body?

Same reason why people carry a bag of primes - familiarity with those fields of view, which leads to a better awareness of perspective and framing. Getting to know a specific set of points will speed up shooting since you're not framing by racking your zoom back and forth, and it will also give your photos a consistent look and feel. They aren't limitations.

Also his sig says he has a D800+F100. Now I'd leave the D800 and shoot film instead.

Yes, body is D800.
I have only primes, shortest is 50 hence looking for a zoom to carry one lens.
I could go only for 24 or 35 but zoom might be handy at times...
