Hi,
I've just set up a network with the BT HomeHub 2.0. I've also just set up an old machine (Intel Pentium 4!) for my parents that is running Windows XP and connecting to the Internet via wireless connection.
For some reason the Internet is super slow on this machine, but Speedtest indicates I have at least 6.5Mbps connection. When I download I get only 50Kbps. I tried to download navigate to the Adobe flash player download page and it spent a long time trying to load the page (spent a while 'resolving host').
I then connected wirelessly using my laptop and the Internet is super fast.
Could someone suggest some possible ways of diagnosing the problem with the Windows XP machine? The signal strength on the machine says 'very good'.
