K I recently formatted my comp. I have my HDD partitioned into two drives. I formatted the drive with Windows installed on it, so the other one has various bits of data in it. Now, one of the folders on the data drive is un-accessible. When I try and open it I get an error message saying "access is denied". Also, when I right-click properties on the folder it shows up as 0 bytes. Any ideas?

Another thing; when I right-click properties, I have no "security" tab. I got sharing and customize etc, but no security...?!

sounds like security persmssions are set

in a window go to tools>folder options>view tab

make sure simple file sharing is NOT set

ok it and close

right click the folder you cant access (you may need to be in the admin acc or one with admin privledges) select properties> security tab > advanced >
owner tab

select your username / admin acc
select replace owner on subcontainers and objects

ok it

fingers crossed you can now access it :D

yup
