No need to do a format mate (unless you have other reasons to) ,Get hold of an app called DriverCleaner (Google for it) & grab the free version then just uninstall your current drivers, Once uninstalled boot into "safe mode" & run said DriverCleaner in as per it's instructions. Switch off & swap cards & install the latest drivers for your new card
