One RJ45 in man cave

Chaps I have one RJ45 socket which my pc is plugged into.
Now If I wanted to connect another pc would I need a splitter or a hub - not sure?
I would like the 2 pc's to have internet connection at the same time.
Any Ideas please.

Edited that hub to switch

5 port are generally the smallest.

5 port gigabit switch.

If you see an 8 or 12 port gigabit switch, though, don't shy away from it. No harm in leaving ports unplugged, if you suspect you might be needing that many in future!

Get an 8 port. I just picked up a D-LINK 8 port gigabit fanless unmanaged switch for less than 14 quid. Bargain.
