I love this screwdriver lol.

I was busy cleaning out my pc ready for the new 560ti coming tomorrow and I really didn't anticipate it being much of a problem. I'd cleaned the main area and all the fans except one - the front 120mm. I haven't undone this machine for a while and had forgotten how crap the screws supplied with the fan were so carried on undoing them to give the fan a proper clean like all the others.

Anyway, after cleaning I began reattaching it to the case, managed to get all four quite tight before realising the fan wasn't going to be secure. Undid 3 of the screws and stripped the last one (always that one eh!).

So, broke out my toolkit, used every tool except one, tried various sizes and even a rubber band to get extra grip but no luck. Then, switched to this screwdriver and hey presto! After an hour trying to get the stupid thing out, here it is! Completely mullered! :-P

Failing that, I take it would have been power drill time?

Haha indeed! Why do companies give out rubbish screws? Surely it'd only be a few pence more for better ones and it would keep customers happier? Just a small thing but makes a big difference to how someone fits their newly-bought components.

Might be a good idea to order a set of fresh screws.

I did this myself only the other day, and paid £1.69 from the rain forest for 8 screws, with free delivery.

Obviously they are a lot cheaper if purchased in bulk, but I only wanted a couple of sets and didn't really fancy a 30 mile round trip to our nearest big town!

I really do have a few hundred spare PC screws! I have done dozens of builds, and have been collecting them over the years.

Using the correct screwdriver really helps when doing anything. Philips and Pozidrive are completely different heads, one will strip the other.
