Space.

I have a small bedroom, imagine a normal size single bed in width. Times it by 2 and you have the width of my bedroom. Imagine a normal size single bed in length. Add a quarter of the size of the bed to the size of it normally and you have the length.

Small bedroom!

Now my setup consists of at the end of my bed I have my sony 32v4000 tv wall mounted, so it is bang infront of my bed. Awesome for xbox 360 or ps3, not so great for pc.

At the moment, I am having my keyboard on my lap with the mouse on my mattress. Almost as good as a razer mousemat! :p

Obviously , its a bit crap, so I was wondering what you guys do?

I have bought a 360 control for it, but I know to compete with pc gamers, you have to have a mouse + keyboard so I need to do something.

I was thinking (dunno where I would get one from) one of those massive kind of trays with legs that you see americans get when they are in bed for bed and breakfast. Whack that over my legs and jobs a goodun.

Or , set up a table and chair at the side of my bed and use that as my "desk". Only problem with that is , I wont be infront of the monitor, would be at an angle, which would do me heading.

Any ideas, or what you do would be great! :D

Theirs nothing you really can do mate, I've got a Box room also you just have to live with it like I am and be greatful I even have a room to stay in, I've got quite a big desk which takes up 1/5 of my room and putting Shelves up has increased how big my room looks dramatically.

The only solution really is to move your pc and keep your own room for console gaming.

Replace the bed with a foldable bed/chair Barcalounger type thing :p.

Honestly though, I guess you will just have to live with it. My room is probably just like 1.5x times more bigger than yours and even I feel like I don't have enough space.

The table tray idea is something I'm interested too, like those you get in hospitals at a patients bed. They would be perfect for working/playing on a laptop whilst you are still in bed, though your bed will need to be able to raise up too.

I would be going for the shizzle load of pillows propping you up.

Or maybe a bean bag.... :D

My brother had a similar issue, except he had a 24" CRT screen so lost a lot of room.

He has now been sleeping in a hammock for 5 months to make space for a decent chair, monitor and desk :)

lol at above

if i was you i would get a shelf fiitted to the wall so that, you could sit on your bed and pull shelf out with key/mouse on. :)

post a Paint version of your layout to help futher.

Im very good at Laying out Furniture.

Even people at work ask me "where should i put this for best space & cable management"

yup time to ditch the bed...just buy a blow up doll and sleep on that when need be.
it would be like the perfect woman! and we all know the perfect woman doesnt really exist.

I had a mate who used to use a board, he would sit in an armchair and put the board resting on the armrests and had his keyboard and mouse that way, would proberly be easier if you were using wireless mouse and keyboard.

Fancy posting a link mate? :)

Well if you want to change beds you can get things like these:
http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/S89851643

Thats an expensive-ish one but gives you idea -bunk bed with a desk in place of a downstairs bed.

Also I think this is what was mentioned elsewhere: Breakfast tray!

Couldn't see the aforementioned Ikea one but yeah Im pretty sure they probably do one :)

Perhaps one of those ideas will help!
