One very trashed RS...

Not mine fortunately. Was up at PumaSpeed getting the RS serviced today, and saw this outside. Apparently the driver walked away with cuts and bruises.......

You can't really see on the pic above but there is virtually no blue paint left on the bonnet - it's all been scraped off as the car slid upside down on the road!

No idea what happened, Tony at Pumaspeed basically bought it as is - he wants the engine/gearbox out of it. (just about the only thing that could be salvaged)

Good handling cars with natural mechanical grip just make you push them harder till they do lose grip. If you take a corner in your RS at 70mph and it's a doddle - next time you'll try 75mph, then 80mph etc....

Nasty accident, poor RS. Bit of a shocker airbag didn't go off but then again it's difficult to say for sure whether or not it should have.

P*** poor choice of tyres, what was he thinking?

We were thinking that as the airbags didn't go off it wasn't a frontal impact, so a likely scenario is something (tyre, strut etc) let go at the front and "dug in" flipping the car over. Must have been doing some speed though.

Any car is crashable, if it sticks to the road that well its just going to be even nastier when it lets go and its not fun unless your pushing the boundaries right.

Wonder if he was covered for the loss
