One way Luton Van hire

Years back - so not sure what current prices are - I used Ford rent a Van to move from Stoke to Lincoln.

Picked the van up from King Ford in Stoke, dropped it off at Hartwell Ford, Lincoln.

Both dealers now defunct afaik.....

It was way under £100, I do remamber that.

May be worth a shot?

Failing that, national rental chains or somebody like Mercedes Benz, I'm sure their dealers offer a similar service.

Two years ago I sold my house before finding another one. Storage was a ridiculous price so I bought a 7.5t removals lorry of a well known site for £3,500. Four months later after unloading everything at the new house I sold it for exactly the same price. It did cost £35 sellers fees and a bit of diesel, but to compensate I cashed in 8 months road tax and sold it with none :)

Enterprise, Hertz etc all do Van rentals and should have drop off points close to your destination.

In the enterprise rent a van site it say its ulimited milleage and returned to a uk mainland destination (now i can only preume one of their depots) Have a look at prices and van size then u cud just ring

Does it not work out cheaper to hire a van from Blandford (U-Drive do a good rate) then pick up everything from Bedfordshire?

Cheers all. I noticed U-Drive as I have people coming up from Blandford to help me move to Blandford incidentally. I would have to pay a 8p per mile surcharge as they give you a 200 mile allowance. I have a transit for use for free but a king duvan bed and mattress sofa, washing machine, table etc etc might be pushing it for room?

They might be able to give you more of an allowance, for a small fee? They're fairly relaxed there.
