OneDrive issue with folder selection [solved]

I have my desktop and a laptop that I use at work to do some courses on (all dev stuff) due to restrictions on company device.

If I am at home I will of course use my desktop. I am not using Git atm because the stuff I am doing is very bite size and seems a bit overkill, so I thought I'd just save all my source code in say "BootStrap Course" under 'My Documents'. Then I can access it easily no matter which device.

The issue is that OneDrive will automatically backup all the folders within documents which is where the problem is, because Starfield has about 14GB in it and I am on the basic 5GB account. The option to deselect My Games is greyed out per the image. Any ideas how I can get around this? I considered there may be an option to force games to save stuff elsewhere but that is a bit annoying having to do that one by one.

This should work.

On the "Sync and backup" panel, select "Manage backup". On Documents, move the slider to the left. This then allows you to select individual folders on the view you're at.

Is the make all file available option stopping you from selecting individual folders?

I thought that would have been it too, but all it does is deselect 3 folders: Attachments, Favourties and 'Files not in a folder'.

This was it! Thank you. When I googled this, the responses were talking about just deselecting 'My Games' but that is only possible doing what you just said. Clearly I didn't search hard enough. Thanks again :)
