Hi all

I have various documents and photos synced to OneDrive. In Windows 7 I have installed the OneDrive app which allows me to access all of these documents and photos in my computer. On my Windows 8.1 installation, it's asking me to switch my local account to a Microsoft account to be able to do the same thing. However, I don't want to use a Microsoft account to login to my PC, I want to retain my local account. How do I get my OneDrive photos and documents to sync with my computer?

Many thanks

You might have to install the metro app and sign into that instead. Not ideal for a desktop-oriented user though.

If you're only bothered about 'retaining' your local account, it can be upgraded to a Microsoft one (keep settings etc.)

I think at the moment you're basically out of luck - OneDrive has been deeply integrated into the OS with 8.1 and as Modern Apps require you to use a Microsoft Account that's now the only way.
