I didn't see any dedicated thread For the existing Nord 2, and now rumours of Nord 3.

To make this an official thread, here are official specs of Nord 2:

  • 65w charger, 4500mWh duel cell battery

Reviews of the Nord 2 seem positive

Rumours of the replacement Nord 3 are coming, pointing to 120Hz 6.7" screen , 120W charger, newer CPU etc. Availability predicted Q2 (April to June)

OK, form a personal perspective, I am using an old Redmi phone form 2019. It is holding op but the USB-C port is a bit knackered and getting the phone to charge requires precision placement of the USB connector.
I am not a power user, don't game, mostly just email and internet.
Priorities for my new phone are:
  • Long battery life, and rapid recharging. I do multi-day ultramaratons that often need to phone on the whole time, and i have short moments where I can recharge.
  • Not too large and heavy, but contrary, i like bigger screens to show maps.
  • Robust, waterproof. But I don't want to buy some specialised tank that is very heavy and lacklustre specs but comes in military grade armour.
  • Value for money. I can afford a the latest Samsung s22 without a blink of the eye, but i have a tendency to loose or break phones, they rarely last
  • Camera is important, again, i do ultramarathons and i largely use my phone to capture it. But for real photography and video i have a Nikon D800 and Gopro hero 10.

The Nord 2 seems to tick most boxes. The rapid charging and long battery life sticks out. The spec/performance relative to cost seems ideal. I prefer the size and weight of Samsung S22, but at least better than google pixel 6.

I spent ages deciding between iPhone 13, S22, Pixel 6, but ultimately the Nord 2 probably serves me better?
I was about to buy, but the cheapest supplier increased prices by 50CHF. The I saw rumours of the Nord 3 with 120W charger. Being able to get a full charge in 15 minutes is a game changer for me. When I am running these races, sometimes I only have 10-15 minutes to charge a phone. I am just a little worried that it doesn't appear until june to Jul and my current phone might not last. Also the price could increase a lot.

Anyone use a Nord 2?
Anyone looking forward to a Nord 3?
