OnePlus Nord Charging Issues

Hi,

I've been experiencing some very odd behavior with my OnePlus Nord which is a couple of weeks under a year old originally purchased from John Lewis (I'm mentioning this because I think they supply support for the full 12 months?)

For the first 9 months the phone would Warp Charge, first time every time, it was great it would get plenty of charge in by the time I had a shower for example.

Then suddenly a month or two ago it started to Warp charge less reliably, it would take a few attempts of unplugging and plugging back in for it to finally warp charge. I cleaned the port but still the problem persisted. In the last couple of weeks Warp charging has stopped completely, it will not Warp charge at all so I've resorted to charging overnight, first world problems.

Yesterday the phone refused to charge, I plug it in, it says its charging but the percentage never increases, left it overnight and charged 1% all night.

I try again this morning and for some reason its started charging although very slowly, 10% in an hour.

This is with the OEM charger and a third party charger and two OEM cables one of which is new, I've restarted it, powered off and on, tried switching off Battery Optimization but nothing works. The only thing I haven't done is do a full reset which I might do today but I have my Authenticator App on there which I need for work so being without this app is going to be a problem.

I only have well known apps on there, I don't install any spurious stuff especially not battery management or anything like that, the phone is fully up to date.

I've always had Nokia phones before and never had any issues so this is a bit annoying and really putting me off buying another OnePlus phone in the future. Has anyone had a similar issue and resolved it?

Thanks

Could be the charger itself? Might be worth trying another one to rule that out also?

Sorry I do have another charger which I failed to mention. its a 3rd party one which is the one I used for overnight charging with an OEM cable and is the one I used last night and it only put 1% charge in.

The OEM charger also didn't work yesterday when trying to charge in the day time, but is charging it very slowly this morning

I've edited the OP because I've confused it

Ah fair enough :( I guess as you say, if the full reset doesn't change anything, then it sounds hardware related :(

Yeah thats what I thought just needed another brain to confirm so thanks for that. I daren't unplug it whilst its finally charging so I'll reset it on my lunch break today. If that doesnt fix it I'll try John Lewis support and see if they say I need to go to OnePlus or not. Dreading not having the Authenticator app this close to Christmas I work in IT support and I cant do my job without it so I might need to get a loan phone from work or something if this goes off for repair. If it does go off for repair I think I'll sell it on once fixed and go back to Nokia.
