Onestream broadband - user feedback?

Hi OCUKers,

Any users past or current with Onestream for wired broadband? Contract with Plusnet is ending, and Onestream are substantially cheaper for the exact same service as it's Openreach FTTC here. £135 cheaper over the 24 month contract period. I'm not interested in 4G/5G internet providers as I want a wired connection.

I assumed terrible customer service, but Onestream are at 4.2/5 on Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.onestream.co.uk
Plusnet I've always found to have great customer service, but they're at 1.9/5: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.plus.net

Any actual user feedback from Onestream users?

Look at the content of the reviews. Companies game Trustpilot by sending you a review request as if you're judging one specific interaction with a customer service agent, but then it's published as if it's a review of the overall product and service.

Filter for the 1-star reviews, or read https://www.ispreview.co.uk/review/isp/onestream/?category=17 and the reviews on Google.

I've only heard negative things about OneStream.

Onestream is the only provider I would leave a negative review for.
"Cheap" deal coming with automatic subscriptions for crap like antivirus, took a while to cancel those (and I knew about it beforehand, how many would just get caught out or not notice extra charges for a while?)
And the only time FTTC was not reliable. And price increase mid contract while the issues were not resolved. And changing their site in same time, so no links in e-mails to stuff like your settings page worked anymore.

Absolutely avoid, I know an old couple that have been ripped off by them. Paying over £100/month for an 80/20 line with a bunch of useless addons that they've been upsold.

Yeah they seem to work on the basis of adding services, emailing you that they've done it, and relying on you to opt-out. Which I'm pretty sure isn't legal for consumer contracts.
