Hi guys can anybody tell me which is the better out of these two 5.1 setups please.

Onkyo HT-S6305B or the new HT-S5405 ?

I'd go for the 6305 personally as it's got a greater wattage output and comes with a 7.1 amp so has more potential for upgrading. It also comes with a free ipod dock which is pretty spinky.

I own a 6305, so i may be biased.

You won't regret it.

Though i'll be honest, the speaker cable supplied is naff, it's fine enough for sound quality but it's short and flimsy so can be a pain if it doesn't reach etc.

I picked up a 50m roll of 2.5mil cable for £28 online and there's a specific subwoofer coax cable that several here recommend that's cheap.

It's no biggy, but for me it's improved the system purely for tidyness.
