Hi

My Jag ipace is booked in for an MOT on Friday. i just got a text from ukplanmyservice.com. the link takes me to a log in page which looks legit, and it has a lot of details about me which also seems ok.

but my phone has flagged the text as a possible scam.

i did a google and ukplanmyservice does not have a lot of hits but does appear to be a real company.

my main concern is they have an email which i have not used for 10 years (its an old work one long dead)..... its definitely not a mail i used when buying my jag - however it is possible i did register it with marshalls (the parent company) back when i was looking to buy a nissan from them many years ago.

thanks for any thoughts.

If you have to ask, you already have your answer.

Delete it and ignore, deal directly with your garage, if they give you a link you could use it but a random text would (and have been) deleted by me

I've just had a similar text through for my MOT tomorrow, and it seems legit - details are all correct, and the only "personal" info they asked for is the vehicle reg and my surname (which anyone could get from DVLA anyway).

I did also speak to the dealer to confirm some details, and they confirmed that I should have got a link to an online check in.
