online comp courses..

anyone ever done one?
just because im a bit unsure of what im doing with me life at the moment in regards to where ill be living for the next couple of years im looking into doing an online qualification in computing.
main area's of interest are, programming (php and mysql) and networking.
any suggestions???

Things like that you can pick up and learn yourself from books really.

Get a couple of good rated books in the area you want to study and burn the midnight oil reading them!

lol well thats the problem, i know most of the stuff on the courses (ive been to college twice but dropped out both times) so i know i can pass them its just i want the piece of paper to 'say' that i know it.
this ethical hacker thing looks quite good. but im lookin for some advice on the realism of turning up to an interview with a piece of paper from say. ics. lol

It depends on who is doing it and whether the accreditation is worth anything once it is complete. It may be just as easy to learn without the course, but do you get a valuable bit of paper, or is it just your word on the CV?
