I think a few have bought into the red pill ******** and believe men and women can't mix 1 on 1 without one or both of them catching the feels. Or they have jealous partners who want to murder them for as much as looking at someone of a different gender.
It's demonstrably false but let the tater tots crack on as you aren't changing their minds.
Leading cause to affairs. So not sure it's quite the ******** you claim.

Seek help for your depression. It is not going to help you in the dating game, most women will sense it and be massively turned off by it and that is why friend zoning is your normal.Mostly because its depressing and I need to take some time out to refresh and regain some of my confidence. It just seems like outcomes are always the same. I do have some meet up events planed for next week so maybe I might meet somebody then...
To be fair, 1 and 2 are the same point, but my point was, has she actually said she just wants to be friends? Fair enough, if she has. It sounds like you decided that's what she wants though? You've then got annoyed with her and blocked her?!I believe I did the right thing.
1.) shes wasn't interested in getting romantically involve with me
2.) I'm just a friend
3.) She has serious mental health issues
I was going to say, but then thought it might be a bit much, but much the same as @Housey... your posts suggest you might have your own stuff to deal with first?Seek help for your depression
That is just ridiculous. You have to be immature to think that you cannot have platonic relationships with women.
Perfectly reasonable to be in a romantic relationship with a woman while being friends with other women.
Yeah, yeah, yeah...heard it all before over the past 40 years Ive been on this planet.
Men kid themselves too much thinking they can be friends with women. When soon as those women are in a relationships those 1 and 1 meet ups stop. Or if a guy has a lot of female friends (rare, unless he's gay) soon as he get a girlfriend. She will nip that in the bud straight away and knows exactly what she is doing.
Men who always defend the "men and women can be friends". When you look at their female friends they hang around with. None of them are butt ugly or deemed as unattractive. Because if they were, those men wouldn't be friends, hanging around with them.

This blow my brain.

Single minded nonsense I wouldn't even expect from that love island bs my missus watches
I am friends with women unattractive to me in many ways. Looks wise, perhaps they are a bit fat for me. And personality wise. I have a laugh with them but they don't share many hobbies. And even on life plans.. They have kids I don't. I'd absolutely not date them. Are you saying I would? Or that I'm lying?

@413x don't waste your energy replying to the waffle that's coming out of @malachiIt's demonstrably false but let the tater tots crack on as you aren't changing their minds.
You, I and clearly other people on this thread are in agreement that this view is immature and ridiculous.

Its not about the gender specifically... first and foremost there is nothing wrong with a man being friends with a woman and vice versa, however it becomes an issue where a man has been placed into the friends zone but the man really likes the woman but she doesn't feel the same way, when the feeling isn't mutual and the man starts getting false hopes its not healthy....why?
People are just people, why does their gender dictate if you can be good friends with them or not?
I did not get annoyed with her. I was actually more annoyed at myself for falling into the friends zone trap again. Its not her fault. If she doesn't find me attractive then its not her problem, she is well in her rights to do so. Being friends is what she wanted... I wanted more than to be just friends. The reason why I blocked her was so that I don't contact her which is not going to be good for me or her. Its better to take action to nip it in the bud now rather than it all ending in tears. When the feeling isn't mutual its not going to work, time to move on.To be fair, 1 and 2 are the same point, but my point was, has she actually said she just wants to be friends? Its doesn't matter regardless of being depressed or confident. Getting into a situationship is not healthy and depressing and medication wont help with that. Its better to get out of the situationship, take some time out to dust myself off and start again. its better to get to the root cause of the depression and stop it naturally rather than trying to numb it with pills.Seek help for your depression. Maybe "date" isn't the right word but rather a "meet" as in a friend meet. She was just being friendly to me and it was nothing more than that. I wanted more, I wanted a date as in a romance date that leads to more than just a friend. It was however me that got the wrong end of the stick.Have you not got to that point in your own head? She has said she was interested and wanted another date and then you're telling us 'Why can't women just be honest and say when they're not interested?'
But, she actually said 'as a friend'? You didn't say this before and as some have mentioned you seem to have quite a negative slant on things, so it looked like you were shutting things down, when it might have had a chance... that was all. If she said that, fair enough. If this is the case I'm not sure why you wouldn't message saying 'Sorry, friends doesn't work for me. It was nice meeting you' all the same, but hey, you do you.rather a "meet" as in a friend meet.
