Online email alternative where you can log in and leave each other messages?

Hi all,

There are around 4 of us who want to say in contact regards a project we are working on and wanted to know if there is any kind of service where we can set up an account and then each one of us can just log in and leave message and info which can be viewed by the other 3 people when they log in.

Don't really have to share files, just message and info etc.

May be I could just setup a google group instead of googlemail
