Online Games (COD4/BF2142) & X-fire Problems

Hey guys,

Just recently I'm having big problems...

BF2142

Takes ages to connect and bring up my players. Most of the time comes back with cannot connect to master server. However once connects, no problems at all.

COD4

Last night kept kicking me for Punk Buster. I tried forwarding the UDP port for Punk Buster via my router and disabled the firewall but still the same. However it may of been a problem just last night as has been working almost all day today.

Takes a while to connect to servers, even then half the time it comes back with Server not responding, but just click on it again and it connects?!

Server List takes a while to populate, about a minute for a couple of pages of servers.

Once I'm on a Server its perfectly fine, No problems at all.

Xfire

Hardly ever connects, even when it does I stay logged into for 30 seconds to a minute and then disconnects me. Just says 'Connecting...'

Is this all down to my ISP?

I believe CoD4 has an issue with xfire (some skins cause crashes I understand). I use both and haven't had an issue yet.

what OS yer running? Vista or XP?

Sorry, forgot to mention.

Running Vista x32. I'm dual booting with XP and just tried Xfire in XP and had to connect and reconnect about 5 times to log in, but in the end managed to log in.

I've been getting the same with xfire, it's only just started to happen in the last couple of days. When I'm in game playing CoD4 I don't have a problem, it's just the initial connection that I have probs with. I thought it might be their end as my Bro-in-law has just started to have the same fault, and nothing has changed hardware / software. Also dual booting with Vista 64 and XP
