Online gaming with PS2

What broadband speed do i need for this. we just had it installed and we only get 500k (as fast as we can receive apprently

)

will this be good enough or should i just not even bother trying?

i was hoping to play pro evo 5, but im not gonna buy it if its gonna be to jerky or laggy

when i had a 512 connection PS2 was fine
as long as you dont plan on hosting a lot of games.
And i would be surprised if Pro Evo wasnt fine since isnt that only 2 player online anyway?

well GT4 would be laggy, isnt net optimised and you need to use xlink kai for it

512 is Fine, when ps2 networking came out that was the standard speed.

512k will be fine for pro evo 5. Hosting should be ok too as you probably have the same upload speed as most others (256k).

Ps2's pro evo online setup is very good, is usually quick and hardly ever lags either. I'd highly recommend.

My experiences of PS2 online were bad.

PES5 was really laggy when I played. I'd have one good half and one terrible half. I'm not going to bother playing online until I don't notice any sort of slow down at all.
