Basically my dads online shop isnt doing so great, it took quite a while to setup but its just not good enough really.

Im personally willing to help him by settings one up and adding items etc, and basically doing the on and offline admin work involved.

So does anyone have some online shop software they could reccomend?

Currently using os-commerce, and the url is www.mxmadness.co.uk

Thanks for any help, you dont know how much i want to be able to help him.

I dont think there is anything wrong with os-commerce personally. Why not just try and customise it a bit?

oscommerce is shockingly coded, slow and not the easiest to customize style wise.

I suggest you try cubecart. brilliant software, easy to customize, free with copyright on it etc.

You get 3 skins as standard. This one is called 'killer' :)
You can change them in the main admin page.

Couldnt tell you which one to use, but have done work with osCommerce and have to say it is god awful to work with and customised and as already stated the coding behind it is terrible!

Currently I am developing a customised e-commerce engine for a client for work (funnily enough for a bike store), so if your Dad is interested in getting something more suited just to his needs then that could be the way to go?

Alternativley he could just require some proper marketing and advertisement to get more traffic.
