Hi all,

I dont want to mention any competitors at all as I know its against the rules, however there is a online retailer selling electrical goods online, name starts with v and ends in b. I thought I would be getting value in my basket

if you get that hint.

Anyway, I ordered something last week and there has been no movement on my item, I am getting no response from their email, I was able to get hold of them over the phone last week but there number has been dead for 2 days, I need to get hold of them urgently to find out whats going on, or get a refund on a £169 item.

Has anyone had any dealing with these people? most of the reviews look ok but I have since found out they are actually based in Hong Kong apparently despite having UK details

As a note, if possible I would like to try and get this retracted,is there anyway of doing so? Im trying to seek alternative numbers online, apart from the one they have listed on their site

Edit:
Found a number,

I would still like to know if anyone has had dealings with these people?

I am seeing a lot of negative reviews now

You're probably screwed. No address listed on their website, seems to be one of those shell companies that ship stuff out of China. Looks like the same sort of operation that Simply Electronics run.

You bought an expensive electronic item from somewhere called "Value Basket" and expected it to be all tickety boo? Wow, ok.

Had you paid with a credit card, you'd have less to worry about. If the company are indeed based in Hong Kong, the item could possibly be held up at customs or still in transit. Hong Kong is a fair old lick away from Wales.

A quick google search tells me they operate out of Hong Kong, and the review sites are not exactly singing their praises - barely any better than 1/5 stars on reviewcentre in the most recent 100 or so reviews (ignore the overall average of around 3/5 - that's filled with fake reports).

they haven't dispatched yet, i am on the phone trying to get the cancellation sorted, although they are telling me the refund would take 2-3 days because of the weekend

Slightly worried

Refunds always take anywhere up to 5 days to show up in your account so that shouldn't be a worry.

I USE VALUE TROLLEYB ALL THE TIME AND THEY ARE A GREAT COMPANY MUCH BETTER THAN SOMETHING BEGINNING WITH O AND ENDING IN C

/sarcasm - in case a disgruntled mod decides to make me his bitch

Ask them to process the refund anyway. Get out of this deal while you still have a chance. Even if you did receive the item, would you be 100% happy that it would be genuine, given what you now know?

I have asked them to process the refund, however they have to email their accounting team, it will likely be 2-4 days before I see whether this works and I see my money again

I have followed the call up with an email, and will calling them back within the hour or two to see what the update is (if any)

The transaction company that took my funds is someone called Skrill, can I do anything with these people?

I am looking for contact details.
