Online Video Stuttering

Evening fellas,

I have had my macbook for 3.5 years now, and have always had this problem. When I watch online videos such as youtube or screw attack, the sound is fine, where as the video seems to sometimes lag behind it and sometimes skip a few seconds altogether.

I have upgraded the RAM to 4GB, and do not think it should be doing this? I have the 1st unibody macbook to come out, so I have a 2.0ghz CPU with 9400m gt.

Surely for online video, my laptop should be sincerely overpowered? Or am I wrong?

I am using Google Chrome. Any help would be appreciated.

Try a different browser?

Does it happen for video's that are not online?

Does watching video at different resolutions make a difference?

Does activity monitor show really high CPU or RAM usage, overall and from specific programs?

Thanks for the help guys - for the time being, it seems as though being in firefox sorts this issue. Which is a shame, I quite like Chrome... :(

Thanks again lads :)
