Onlive UK launch: Any game for £1!!!

Excellent. Thanks for the heads up. I signed up to Onlive a while ago bt not got around to trying it out. This is the perfect excuse. Are there any details on the cost of the box yet?
 
It's listed on the Onlive UK site for £69.99. Great value if you ask me, definitely cheaper than buying a gaming pc anyway!
 
Well, they're the PC version of the games and naturally it will have some PC exclusives on there too. They also include XBLA style titles like World of Goo. :)
 
I couldnt get the installer to work. Kept coming up with not a valid win32 application. Did a search and it says to disable and download accellerators but i dont have any running. Just downloaded it in Windows 7 64 bit and tried to run it. I also checked that there were no download accellerators installed in IE9 an it still wouldnt work.

Oh and i also had a problem that i signed up ages agowhen it first came available (US Site) and when i tried to use that account it wouldnt let me. There was no way to convert the account to a UK one and then i had a problem because when i tried to signup again a) it wouldnt let me because my email address was already in use and b) my nickname was in use as i assume that it was on my old account that i couldnt use and couldnt convert... :rolleyes:

Can't see the point myself. You could buy the game for cheaper than that and then at least you can trade it in when you're done.

I pre ordered Arkham City last week for £28 and got a free console! :D

What about getting Deus Ex: Augmented Edition for £1 :eek: You won't find it cheaper than that anywhere!!
 
I've not seen anwhere that offers a free micro console on OnLive. A shame as I would really like one too. Is this offer no longer running?
 
I got the console for free and dues ex for a quid. The £6.99 monthly sub get you 30 percent off purchases plus access to 100 or so games (most old tbh).

Played the free trial of spinter cell conviction and metro 2033 and both seem to run ok. Be warned that most of the pc only games can only be played with mouse and keyboard.
 
Got the console for a pound after the Eurogamer expo and had a punt on space marine for a pound, and as my console was delayed they gave me a free game. Deus Ex Augmented edition for free, why not.

Also, because I'm on BT broadband, Onlve usage doesn't count against bandwidth caps, and I get three months free for the playpack bundle.

No. There's an option to sign up to the Play Pack if you decide its good value. But the service itself carries no monthly fee.

In short, pay £1 gets you any game you like on the service but the offer runs out at midnight.......

They've had 2 promotions running offering a free console so far. The latest one ended Friday unfortunately.
