Only 1 fan working

I have a Gainward Ati 4870 512mb.

I don't no how long ive had this problem but only 1 fan is spinning.

Getting a bit worried as i hope i haven't damaged the card.

Does anyone have any ideas.

Unless you have a special model, 4870s only have one fan anyway?

I would give it a nudge and if it doesn't spin check the fan's power connector, which could have fell out of it's socket.

On OcUK they sell the Gainward cards with dual fans.

No mine definately has 2 fans, and it's definately a 4870

As shown in pic above there's two fans and the one that doesn't spin is the one on the left

could look around the card and see if you can see the fan wire, check if its plugged in correctly.

guess you could get a replacement if its snug in, or you dont feel confident enough to start messing with it.
