Only 64-bit IE7 works

Hi all,

Got a problem with IE7 and MSN. Only 64-bit IE7 works (32-bit doesn't) and I cannot sign into Live messenger, it says there's a problem with DNS and Key ports :confused:

Any ideas? I'm on Vista Ultimate 64-bit

Are you using Nod32 by any chance?

Had the same problem a while ago. No application that used the internet worked, except 64 explorer. Never found a solution and ended up reinstalling vista.

Yeah i'm using NOD32 but it does the same when I close it.

Right tried uninstalling NOD32 and it now works fine. Is there an update due to fix this? I'm now on the net with no AV :\

Sorry I been away from pc, yeah its an issue with Nod32, uninstalling and reinstalling is only thing that fixes it. I was using version 2.7 something at the time. Now using version 3 and its not happened since. HTH.

Edit: With version 3+ make sure you get the 64 bit version.
