Still nothing to sort this P5W DH Deluxe pain-in-the-unmentionables boot problem?

After a reset, BIOS "Save and Exit", or just a normal switch off, the bloody thing will not restart. It randomly restarts after a short time, and it's bugging the hell out of me. And it does it at stock speed as well.

Is there a solution? (E6600 onboard!)

According to Asus this is not a bug but a by design feature to resync the mobo internal clocks.

Almost every Asus LGA775 mobo in the past 18 months has this feature when you overclock.

Do not think it can br cured by a bios upgrade as seem to remember on the official Asus forums someone asked for this and the reply was it is a hardware limitation due to a specific type of chip Asus use on their mobos.

It can be cured they have just done it on the latest P5B bios.

but this thread is all about it being fixed! certainly has done on the p5b deluxe im using now, its a matter of time for the other ranges to follow, but its 100% fixed for the p5b deluxe model for your information.

Mini de-rail, do you use crossfire & have you checked out the reviews on Anandtech regarding crossfire using the 6.9 drivers? apparently the 6.10 beta drivers improve crossfire on 965 chipset by an extra 20% on the fireingsquad website, bringing it into line with the 975 - which means P5B-Deluxe ownage! I'm seriously thinking of buying thos board! if all is true! especially with the powerdown/coldboot Fix!
