Only got VGA output possible to get 1080 output from it?

Got a PC with a VGA output only the card supports HD H.264 decoding (8400GS in a laptop) is there anyway to get it to output 1080 to my LCD tv?

I was under the impression that VGA can only carry 720 maximum
