hi guys as i only have onboard grapchics on my mobo !!! its starting to fail me with all these lines across my screen i think thats that is the problem anyway

so i am looking for a graphics card , if that is what i need ,

better psu also and ram which mine is just cheap!

Wasting £65 on something that isnt that fast anyway is pointless, and you dont know if its the problem.

Why in the picture you posted of the issue, is the top and bottom ok? seems weird to me.

i do like to use photoshop and 3d programs like cinema4d an things tho so im lookin on 1gb , am gonna install win7 on new partition see if problem still persists

Also, when does the problem occur? I would try repasting the heatsink on the northbridge as that is where the onboard GPU is, it could be overheating.

well it only occurs when im scrolling down webpages , i did a restart and had a flash player update , done the update , problem is still the same , im on a new install of win7 at the moment , no problems yet

edit: i will stay on this new win7 all day now and see if it happens today i did a dual boot

Try increasing the onboard memory in bios from 32Mb to 128Mb or more.

The PCIe slot on your board may only be rev 1. Most new cards are rev 2 or 2.1/2.2 should be backward compatible but check.

So it only happens when you scroll in a browser? No where else? Judging from your pictures it looks like you're using Firefox. Go to options, under the advance tab, then general, untick "Use hardware acceleration" and see if that helps.

EDIT: Just reread your post again. So you did a new install of Windows and the problem doesn't occur on there? Then it sounds like there is bugs on your old Windows install.

yer i hadto uninstall google chrome no page would load at all kept on crashing so ff is a day old on my machine

but still think ide like to upgrade my graphics

If your onboard GPU shares main memory try testing it for errors.

no i havnt had no problems so far , done a memtest no problems there went bck to my old os install remved all the googlechrome and firefox cleaned registry an things , re-installed googlechrome and im having no more problems
