What used to be a UK
but am I the only one disappointed by it? Playing at 1650 and all of my slowdowns appear to be in instances when there is not that much on the screen-i.e., inside the aircraft carrier. There were two occassions when the game didn't function correctly (1) inside the core waiting for the gates in a sequence which did not open and (2) when Prophet was supposed to have given me the alien gun. Twice I had to restart the level to correct the problem. Towards the later chapters the game kept throwing me out into the menu about thirty times sigh!.
Story was good up until descending in to the mine and the alien base: from there it was downhill all the way to the end. I do hope Far Cry 2 is much better?

As ever it's graphics over gameplay because that's what the kiddies want that's what they'll get.

The majority of people feel that Crysis Warhead is far superior to Crysis and that the original Crysis is overrated and not that special. However, from from a technical perspective, it is clearly the most graphically advanced and demanding game currently available.

I have to say that I didn't experience any stability problems or noticeable bugs... just framerate drops from time to time (often solved by a quick load or game restart)...

Crysis Warhead performs better for most people than Crysis but many argue that the graphics / settings have been "tweaked" by Crytek in order to increase performance, as opposed to any significant engine tweaks, diminishing the overall graphical quality of the game. This can be rectified by various cfg files that have been created over the last few months.

As for FarCry 2? Well, all you have to do is have a quick search here on this very forum and you will find your answers… I think it’s fair to say that, in a nut shell, the majority of gamers feel misled by the shining reviews and scores rewarded by various websites / magazines. Some think it’s alright. A few believe the scores are justified. Most think it’s downright dreadful. I’ll make my own mind up when I finally get a chance to play it properly :)

Crysis was ok and looks great. Warhead was a lot better and more gripping in my opinion and FarCry2 is a different game and it just doesnt feel 'right'? If you get me? :p

Well I was completely disappointed by it. It didn't help not being able to complete the ending as it became unplayable. I even dropped the res from 1650 down to 800x600 using a 4870, Q6600 and 4 gig of ram- and it still wouldn't play. I was about 2mins from finishing it having had no problems apart from those already mentioned sigh.

I honestly like it because I think it's fun and cinematic, the graphics don't hurt of course :p

And it does run like a dog unless you have some really serious graphics hardware unfortunately.

Warhead is far better in terms of gameplay and action imo, the weapons feel and work much better also.

I think if the suit was used more it would be a lot better game, whenever you see demos or cut sences, the suit seems to be used a lot more then you can in the game it looks really cool. But in game i find if i use the suit for anything other then armor mode i more often then not die.

Maybe i just suck or am doing something wrong

Funny how opinions change after the hype dies down. I got booed in quite a few places for saying that Crysis was just fancy graphics and the game itself was mediocre.

Now that almost seems to be common consensus :p

Well what would people change regarding to gameplay? I thought it was great, being able to pretty much free roam through the missions. I get the feeling people are just slating the game because they're upset they can't run it on max. I thought it was about the "gameplay" anyway?

Let's start with:

For the first 80% of the game, there is only 1 kind of enemy?

Dumb as dirt footsoldiers, at that.

And cloaking was so over-powered it was close to cheating. But since the story was so bland anyhow, and the enemies never changed, I didn't mind cloak exploiting since it meant I could progress through the game faster.

I'm in the minority tho - I actually started enjoying the game more when the aliens turned up. Variety > realism.
